Introducing the metered model at Politiken
At Politiken, we have been working hard to finish our interpretation of the metered model, which means that from this day on, we will be charging money for the high-quality journalistic content that Politiken produces. The video below shows the campaign animation made by Philip Ytournel.
The user experience concept more or less follows the pattern that NYT established:
- A limit of 25 articles for free each month
- Various screens that encourage users to subscribe digitally once they get close to the limit
- A landing page that lets the user choose a product
- A checkout flow in which the user pays & creates an account for future access to content
The screenshot above shows an example of the screen that the user sees when approaching the limit of 25 free articles.
We are very excited and look forward to enter the world of paid content.
